Moon Audio Reviews the Grado Signature S950
Moon Audio has taken an in-depth look at the Grado Signature S950, describing it as the warmer, more acoustic counterpart to the HP100 SE and highlighting its natural presentation, wide soundstage and exceptional detail.
The S950 combines Grado’s newly engineered 52mm driver with handcrafted Brazilian Walnut housings — a first for a Grado headphone. Moon Audio found the result to be neutral and highly articulate, but with a little more warmth and character than the HP100 SE.
Particular praise was given to the S950’s expansive three-dimensional soundstage, smooth midrange and ability to reproduce acoustic instruments and vocals with a natural sense of space. The review also highlights the improved headband, interchangeable cushions and detachable cable system introduced with Grado’s new Signature generation.
